Clare and Kevin WIN the 2017 WAPs!!

Cambridge can be very proud of our champion pair, Clare Coles and Kevin Whyte. Not only did they take the National Open Restricted Swiss Pairs title at last year's Congress but they have now followed up with topping the series of six events in the Waikato Area Pairs. "The WAPs" is a 5A tournament with each of its six sessions being held in a different club around the Waikato. On Sunday 20th August the last round was at Morrinsville - always very hospitable but this time with the added bonus of the traditional ordering-in of pizzas and wine. It was also a great day for our Di Emms and Jane Stearns who finished a close third behind NZ's latest Grandmaster Lynette Morgan and partner Ian Bond of Matamata. So close to being a Cambridge one-two!
