Eunice and Malcolm carry the cup home for the 2018 Waikato Bays Intermediate league

Eunice and Malcolm had a clear lead going into the final round in Cambridge today but they could be caught! They would have been relieved at lunch time to find they were top of the room after the morning session..However they slipped in the afternoon, but not enough of a slide to rob them of the championship they had their eye on. They kept their cool and they did it! All that practice and partnership development throughout the year paid off.

A special mention to our Regional Bridge Mate, Eunice Eccles, who has cajoled and encouraged players from around the region to play more league events this year.  It was just reward to see the Cambridge club rooms heaving with players today as well her achieving so highly on a personal level.
