Michele, Steve, Sue and Mathew - our Cambridge Intermediate League winners!

Congratulations to Steve Hunt and Sue Keating who came 5th scoring 54% both sessions at the Cambridge intermediate tournament.  

Very well done Michele Liddle who won the intermediate league 2026!  Even though it was an average day at the bridge table on Sunday, she retained a 2 point lead over Waikato players, John Little and Graham Saunders. In 4th place finished Steve Hunt and 5th was Sue Keating, which were very well deserved placing a.  Mathew Chestnut finished 8th, which was a superb result as a new intermediate player.

It was immediately evident what a great day players were enjoying when I arrived at the bridge club towards the end of play on Sunday when the Intermediate tournament was held. The room was buzzing and the atmosphere a happy one.  A big thank you to everyone involved who contributed to the day’s success, especially Pam who thoughtfully directed and Mike who got the scores out in double quick time.
