Beginners’ Lessons
The lessons were very successful with evening lessons on Tuesday night and daytime lessons Thursday morning with over 40 players completing the 10 week course. Kim Grounds and Pam Moore were very grateful for the amazing help from Anne Blewden and Josie van Weerd plus all the club members who came to assist at the tables and approximately 40 members who have offered to be buddies at club sessions for three weeks.
Thanks also to the regular players whose sessions are slightly “disturbed” by the fun and frivolity from the tables with newbies and buddies. As they get accustomed to club sessions they will understand the protocol but in the meantime they are having fun and learning the many intricacies of the game we all love.
When the buddy sessions end we would appreciate you asking a player to have one event with you (or even one session) to welcome them into the club. Monday morning and Wednesday evening are the best times for them to play or come along to the supervised play on Thursday morning 9.30-11.30am.
REMINDER -PLEASE PLAY ACOL with our new players as this is the system they have learnt and we don’t want to confuse them even more by teaching them new systems.
