Vicki Jacobsen recognised as the latest Life Member

It was no surprise to many to see Vicki become a Life Member at the conclusion of this year’s AGM. As Paul said, Vicki has been an extremely valued member since she joined as a newbie learner in 2010. Since this time she has supported the lessons, been Club President for five years, done the Programme Book, been the Computer manager as well as helped out in numerous other ways like making her fabulous Victoria sponges to mark special birthdays! 

The Committee had just decided that this award was definitely needed just as Ayako asked Paul, “Why is Vicki not a life member?” so it was fitting that Ayako was on hand to present Vicki with her flowers. 
 

Vicki in turn told those present how much the club meant to her and what its members had given her in return. It was lovely that her partner, Grant, was able to be there to celebrate Vicki’s success with her.
