Cambridge intermediates shine at Cambridge Sixes

It was wonderful to be able to congratulate Cambridge players on the stage yesterday.  After a middling morning, Don and Irenee found their feet and came romping home in second place.  Well done to them!

Meanwhile, Josie and Don, were hovering near the top for most of the day meaning they were playing others at the top too. So kudos to them for hanging in there and WINNING THE INTERMEDIATE SWISS PAIRS competition. 

Their performance also helped their team, Triple Tartan Twos,  finish 4th overall .  Matthew and Neville finished 7th while Ian and Pam finished 13th.

Ian, Pam, Clare and Kevin laughed to find they had come the Sixes to play each other in round two at the last but one table! None of them shone yesterday but they crept up the ranks knowing it is the finishing position that counts. The thing with bridge is to learn to put a bad board behind you and move on.  Some days you need to do that more often than others!
