Cambridge Intermediate Tournament a big success

Tony and irenee

Thank you to everyone who helped to make our annual tournament so friendly and happy.  There were 80 players who took part and lots of bridge was played.  Thank you to all the members who brought food or helped on the day to make it all go seamlessly. A special thanks to our Director, Pam Moore and scorer, Mike Neels. Ian Moore and Kevin also spent a lot of time helping to ensure the day was a success.

Anyway, on to the all important results.  Huge congratulations to Irenee and Tony who WON the tournament! Not often Cambridge produces a winning pair from within its ranks for its own tournament.

Well done too to Beth Kingsley and Moya Young who came third.

The top non-intermediate pairing was Keith Robertson and Neville Mercer, who finished 9th overall too! Well done to them!

Session prizes went to Nandy and Jo Griffiths as well as Margaret Fitzgerald and Ayako.  Not only did Ayako have a good afternoon at the bridge table but she managed to load the dishwasher in between rounds too! Just one example that demonstrates the camaraderie of our club.
