Here's Your Chance to Have Your Say ...

New Zealand Bridge are really keen to hear from everybody just how they feel about Tournaments and Gradings - whether they're someone who plays tournaments or someone who doesn't. To this end they have devised a survey to gauge what needs fixing in the eyes of the users. Now chaired by our very own Jane Stearns the Gradings and Tournaments Taskforce is finally getting on with a project that has been languishing in the background for many years. We all know how Jane makes a thoroughly professional job of anything she takes on. At the AGM of NZ Bridge in September she put up a most impressive overview and timeline for this project. In an open letter to all she writes:

GRADINGS AND TOURNAMENT SURVEY TO ALL PLAYERS

At NZB we are reviewing the current grading system and the current tournament options.  We are inviting every player to take part in this important survey and to give their views.  This will help inform our decisions.  We are asking all affiliated clubs across NZ to send this email to their players to enable them to take part.

We want to hear from as many players as possible.  Even if you play purely for social reasons and take part in no tournaments at all – we would still like you to complete this survey.  Understanding how important/relevant gradings and tournaments are to players is an important factor in our decision making process.  So from beginner to gold grandmaster – please let us know your views.

Please complete this survey just once.  You have until Friday 15 December to do so.  The survey will be cut off at that point.  There are also 50 x $20 petrol vouchers to be won if you enter the prize draw when completing the survey.
