AGM 2021

Thank you to all of you who attended our AGM on Monday night, both in person and on Zoom and to those who sent their apologies.  It was lovely to see you all and congratulations to all the prize winners.

The following motion was resoundingly passed at the meeting and  I quote

"1.That all players and officials at club bridge sessions and at all bridge tournaments organised or hosted by the club, or conducted in the club rooms by other bridge organisations, must have proof of being fully vaccinated against Covid 19 in accordance with Government guidelines

2. The health and wellbeing of our members is our number one priority. We will continue to use our Covid 19 protocols for day to day requirements. These may be amended from time to time in line with Government guidelines and advice from New Zealand Bridge

3. That all organisations or individuals hiring the club premises for events or functions are required to declare that all participants have proof of full vaccination against Covid 19 in accordance with Government guidelines."

As a result of this anyone who enters the Cambridge Bridge Club must have their vaccine pass verified. When you collect you programme books we will verify vaccine passes, noting their expiry date. Once this has been checked it will not need to be checked again until it requires renewal.

Next year's programme books will be available for collection at the following times

Friday 10th December 9am to 10am

Monday 13th 9am to 10am

Wednesday 15th  5pm to 6pm

Thursday 16th  1pm til 2pm.

At the same time please collect your certificates and silverware if you were not at the AGM.

We all know there is no certainty regarding Covid 19   but at this stage we  plan to open the club rooms on January 12th  2022 .

Whenever you play please ensure you respect and are considerate to others players by;

using the Covid tracer app on entry

  •  wearing a mask to enter the club rooms  and until you are seated at your table. At this stage you may choose to remove your mask or continue to wear it
  • refrain from holding the cards near your face while you think
  • wash your hands or sanitise regularly

Windows and doors will remain open and air conditioning will be running on cool to increase air flow through the building.

I wish you all the very best for the upcoming season

Kind Regards Allison
