RealBridge Continues

Bob Fearn is hoping for some help  in running another facet of his latest project .. CompassVirtual. The link will take you to a full description of what it does but, in a nutshell, it is a service that anyone organising a RealBridge session open to outsiders may use. CompassVirtual is really a big Compass Club_in_the_sky - with a Compa$$ module attached. With funds in your CompassVirtual account you can play RealBridge anywhere that opts to use this service.

Last week we ran four RealBridge sessions hosted by Cambridge Bridge Club. We had visitors from other clubs and, while our members will see the (mere $1) playing fee debited direct to their Compa$$ account, our visitors will have CompassVirtual Compa$$ accounts being hit up for the same amount. At the end of a month CompassVirtual will send the accumulated Visitor funds to host clubs.

In the first week of January we have four more sessions set to go under the Upcoming Events tab on CompassVirtual. The difference this time will be that it is CompassVirtual Bridge Club hosting these events - which makes everyone a visitor! To enter CompassVirtual sessions you must log in to your account on mycompasss.com before you are shown the link to the scheduled session. When the results are uploaded a membership gets created in the CompassVirtual Bridge Club database for any player who hasn't already got one. Players are expected to maintain their CompassVirtual Compa$$ account in credit - same as we do for paying table money at the club. It just so happens that, for now, the CompassVirtual bank account has the same number as the Cambridge Bridge Club one. Players still identify themselves by name and number but are asked to use the description "CV" on their deposits so we can tell what the money is intended for. It would make Bob very happy to see lots of you turning out to play this week.
