Heroic Performances

Cambridge players did really well in our own Intermediate tournament on Sunday. Usually we're FHB (Family Hang Back) at these events .. politely letting the guests have all the top placings but something seems to have changed:

• Margaret Oliver & Helen Hicks took second N-S in the morning while Jan Watts & Denise Whybrow came second East-West
• Steve Hunt & Jo Griffiths won their 7-table Howell section after lunch with Liz Clayton & Anne Blewden coming second
• Ayako Imahashi & Margaret Fitzgerald came 4th in the other section
• And overall at the end of the day Liz and Anne came 6th, Denise and Jan were 4th, and ..
• .. Steve and Jo WON the day!!!

Anna Kalma directed and scored the 14 tables entered.
