Congrats to Sue Aitken and Barbara Andrews who were the second best Junior pairing in Hamilton on Saturday.as well as winning an afternoon session prize and finishing with an admirable 50% average.
Thank you to Irenee for the photos. She and Leonie enjoyed the day and finished with an average of 52%.
Congratulations to Kay and Pam who had a cracking win in the morning session earning them an A Point. This was followed up by a good afternoon winning them the best non open pairing for the day. They finished in a very reputable 9th overall standing out of 28 pairs.
Well .. it's not strictly an app as such: you can't download it from PlayStore. Full instructions are given in this Hello Club Help article. Key points that I found in loading it to my Samsung were:
Congratulations to the whole Cambridge team for pulling together to not come 2nd overall out of the five competing Waikato clubs. This was the result of an unfortunate announcement at the end of the day - our team came second for the afternoon session only. Our overall result, shown below, was considerably less impressive. BUT - we all had a great day!!
Best of luck to Di, Jane, Mike, Don, Liz, Beth, Leonie, Irenee, Chris, Hennie,, Barbara and Dave T representing our club on Sunday. We hope you have fun and do brilliantly!
Congratulations to the following members who will be representing our club in this year’s Waikato Interclub teams on Sunday 23 June 2019:
OPEN: JANE, DI, MIKE AND DON
INTERMEDIATES: BETH, LIZ, IRENEE AND LEONIE
JUNIORS: KAY HANNA, GRETCHEN, BARBARA ANDREWS AND DAVE TAYLOR RESERVES: CHRIS AND HENNIE VAN EMPEL
We wish them well in this year’s competition.
Go Cambridge!
What a delight it was to find Kate and Gwyn at the top of the ladder when I browsed the results this evening. They did brilliantly winning six out of six matches. Well done to them! It must have been thrilling sitting at the top of the room in 2nd place for the penultimate two rounds and sneaking in a win in the final one. Go girls!
Cambridge did not shine as a whole in the Matamata WAPs but it was fabulous to see Cambridge feature in the afternoon session. Beth and Irenee come equal top E-W along with Michael and Ella - with 58.65% - awarding them with an A point in a hefty field of Open players. Well done to all of them!
Congratulations to Irenee and Calum for wining the Intermediate pair section and coming third overall at the Putaruru Restricted today after coming 1st EW in the morning and 3rd NS in the afternoon.
