Special thanks for your team names and payments (just a few names - urgently required and payments still to come - please note no electronic payment available on the day)
Lunch is provided, along with afternoon and morning tea from 9am. As previously advised we are not able to cater for special dietary requirements
Please advise Clare (Clarecoles67@hotmail.com or 021 762 543) of any changes in your team members from those on the NZB website
A few final notes:
Location – the Sir Don Rowlands Centre, Gate 2, Karapiro Domain, but – we are advised the road across Karapiro dam is still closed – so a slightly longer trip for some of you
Guess you’ll have GPS but the way to the Centre and the Karapiro Domain is well signposted
BUT should you get lost or delayed please call Paul Phillips 021 475 921 or Vicki Jacobsen 021 226 6981
Sustenance - Morning munchies are available from 9:00am and the Podium Cafe is nearby. The venue bar will be available after play selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
We aim to finish by 5:20pm in time for you to explore Cambridge’s many fine choices of eateries before heading home. If that’s a possibility, then best to book ahead
Things to bring:
- Fantastic T-themed costumes for your team (Countries as mentioned previously was so 2024)
- Cash to buy tickets in our legendary raffles
- Wireless devices so you can hook into the wi-fi and view results (but not answers to quiz questions!!) as they are posted on www.cambridge.bridge-club.org – avoid the scrums around the big screens
- A water bottle to reduce chance of spillage and save our kitchen staff
- Your own lunch if you have special dietary requirements
When you arrive and a bit more:
- One person from your team to report to reception for your HOME TABLE number and information pack and then find your home table. Your home table will be your base to catch up with your team, answer trivia questions between rounds and for lunch
- Tables have TWO numbers – a playing table number in each section and a home table number. It’s Swiss Pairs so you are unlikely to ever play at your home
- Our photographer will take your official team photo in the entry hall before we start
- Teams vote on the best Dress-up Team at the beginning of play. Be sure to look your best for the team introductions before the start of play and watch the other teams as they are introduced so you can make your choice and vote for first and second best teams
- And last, but definitely not least, buy a ticket or two in our wonderful raffles
Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday
