A lovely evening on Monday started with the AGM. The AGM confirmed your new committee for 2020. The Presidents report is attached if you were unable to be there.

It was with huge pleasure that we at the Cambridge bridge club could give Clare a well deserved life membership! She was overwhelmed with the honour. We can't think of anyone who deserved it more!

Its great that Vanessa is organising our Christmas bridge series again this year. We are very grateful!

Come along and enjoy 3 nights of fun bridge with spot prizes, a nice supper and lots of jokes!

Each night has a particular theme and you may wish to dress to show the theme of the night in some way.

On Thursday afternoon we were able to celebrate the special birthday of Marie. A long term and highly respected, and valued member of our club, it was lovely to be able say Happy Birthday to her!  Never mind the singing!!

 Our own Ayako! On Thursday Richard Soloman from NZ Bridge presented Ayako with an award for being the NZ bridge volunteer of the month for October. No one deserved it more. The club also presented her with a small gift to recognise all the work she does for our club!

Am unsure whether there was any relationship between the amount of Babich wine consumed and the overall result last Friday!

Every so often, but more particularly at this time of year, we have a look at who is king of the castle in each of our four main sessions. At present, with just five sessions to go, Inge is leading on Monday mornings, Kevin on Monday nights and Thursday afternoons, and Clare (who will probably disqualify herself anyway) leads Liz on Wednesday nights.
